Baked beans piled on buttered toast
🇬🇧 Cornwall
Beans on toast is British comfort food at its most unpretentious: a tin of saucy baked beans warmed through and heaped onto thick slices of hot buttered toast. Cheap, fast, and quietly beloved across the UK, it is student food, hangover food, and a perfectly good breakfast, sometimes with a grating of cheese.
