Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
The short version
Spin the Globe (the “Service”) is a recipe discovery app operated by Richard Moore (“we”, “us”). By using it you agree to these terms. Cook at your own risk, follow good food-safety practice, and treat our dietary labels as a helpful guide rather than a guarantee. If you don’t agree with these terms, please don’t use the Service.
Recipes, dietary labels, and food safety
The recipes, substitutions, nutrition estimates, and dietary tags (such as “vegan”, “gluten-free”, “nut-free”, or “dairy-free”) are provided for general information only. We research our dishes, but we cannot guarantee that any recipe is free of a given allergen or suitable for a specific medical, religious, or dietary need, and ingredients and brands vary. If you have a food allergy or medical condition, always check every ingredient label yourself and consult a professional. You are responsible for safe food handling, cooking temperatures, and storage. Nutrition figures are automated estimates, not medical advice.
About the photography
The dish photographs on the Service are AI-generated illustrations created to represent each dish, not photographs of a specific plate we cooked. They are meant to be appetising and representative; the food you make may look different.
Your account
You may use most of the Service without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your account. Don’t share your password, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service or violate these terms.
Acceptable use
Use the Service for personal, non-commercial cooking and discovery. Don’t attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ data; don’t use it to break the law or infringe others’ rights; and don’t submit content (such as reviews) that is unlawful, hateful, or abusive. We may remove content or restrict access at our discretion.
Your content, including photos you share
If you submit reviews, ratings, photos, or other content, you keep ownership of it but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to store, display, resize, adapt, and use it to operate and promote the Service. For a photo you upload, that expressly includes featuring it on the Service as a dish’s main image and in related promotion of the Service. You confirm the content is yours to share, and for photos that you took the photo and that anyone recognizable in it agrees to appear, and that it is not unlawful or infringing. We review submissions before they appear, may decline or remove any content at our discretion, and you can ask us to remove your content at any time. When we process an uploaded photo we resize it and strip embedded location and camera metadata.
Copyright and DMCA
We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to notices of claimed infringement under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on the Service (such as a user review) infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent, Richard Moore, at legal@spintheglobeofficial.com, including: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed; (3) identification of the material you claim is infringing and where it is located on the Service; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf. We may remove material we believe in good faith to be infringing and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its recipes, text, design, brand, and generated images, is owned by Richard Moore or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You may cook from and personally use the recipes; you may not republish the collection, copy the Service, or use our brand without permission.
Third-party services and data
The Service relies on third parties such as Supabase (accounts and database) and Cloudflare (hosting and security). Your use of the Service is also subject to how those providers operate. How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, including how long we keep data and how you can export or permanently delete your account and its data.
Affiliate links
Some links on the Service may be affiliate links. If you buy something through one of them, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. We only link to products we would use ourselves, and a commission never changes which recipes or products we feature. Where affiliate links appear, we disclose that relationship next to them.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use the recipes and the Service at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Richard Moore and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including any reliance on a recipe, dietary label, or nutrition estimate. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve months before the claim (which for free use is US $0) or US $50.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Richard Moore and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms or of any law or third-party right.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not otherwise resolved, and you consent to venue there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date above; significant changes take effect when posted, and continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated terms.
