Glass of thin sweet soured milk
🇲🇷 Nouakchott
Zrig is the drink of the Mauritanian desert: soured milk (traditionally camel or goat) whisked with water and sugar into a thin, tangy, cooling refreshment. Poured generously for guests and carried by nomads across the Sahara, it is both hydration and hospitality in a single cup.
