Glass of cloudy fizzy fermented milk
🇰🇬 Bishkek
Chalap (or shoro) is the tangy, salty fermented-milk drink of Kyrgyzstan, ladled cold from big barrels on Bishkek streets in summer. Cultured milk is thinned with carbonated water and salted into a fizzy, sour, savory refresher that revives you instantly in the dry mountain heat.
