Bowl of thick yogurt with honey and walnuts
🇬🇪 Imereti
Matsoni is the ancient cultured yogurt of Georgia and the Caucasus, thick and pleasantly sour, long credited for the region's famous longevity. For breakfast it is served simply — a bowl swirled with local honey and a scatter of the walnuts that appear in so much Georgian cooking.
